- Whatsapp and Instagram servers down
Whatsapp and instagram’s servers are currently having a hard way to cope up with the incoming heavy traffic. The company broadcasted on their official Twitter page that: “We’re aware that some people are having trouble uploading or sending images, videos or other files on our apps. We’re sorry for the trouble and are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
Affected platform includes both the IOS and Android. Users are getting errors similar to “the media cannot be sent” over their screens when media files are sent/shared. However text messages are the only ones that can be shared at the moment. Remember that old ebuddy messenger app we had on java platforms? whatsapp is now similar to that one at the moment. 😛
The affected countries include Africa, India, Zimbawe, Europe and USA. Instagram users are getting errors similar to “Photo can’t be posted” while uploading media. This is a server bug for sure. However Facebook teams are working for the fix. Hope they will be fixing the global issue at the earliest.
